VISION SIS

As the sole designer, I spearheaded the rebranding and design strategy for Vision SIS. This involved conceptualizing and executing a range of assets, including the website, brochure, brand guide, emails, and conference materials.

My Role

Lead UX/UI Designer
Front-End Developer

Background

Vision SIS is a cloud-based system that helps K-12 private and public schools manage student information. The system and brand was not performing very well and the owner decided to strip it down to bare bones and rebuild from scratch. I was hand selected from our in-house design team to lead the rebrand effort.

Problem to Solve

Vision SIS needed a whole new brand strategy to up their game in the student information cloud-based market.

    • Create a brand strategy
    • Design and develop the website
    • Design and develop the email templates
    • Create trade-show materials (booth and brochures)
    • Educate the Vision SIS team on and support them as needed after hand-off
Goals

Create a full rebrand strategy, marketing materials, content, style guide, and development of a new website.

    • Research the competition, find a way to stand out
    • Create a brand strategy, colors, look and feel, and voice and tone
    • Design a logo and branding guide
    • Design and develop the website
    • Design and develop the email templates
    • Create trade-show materials (booth and brochures)
    • Educate the Vision SIS team on and support them as needed after hand-off

I worked closely with Colleen over several months on a significant rebranding project for my line of business. We needed to take things down to bare-bones and rebuild everything- new content, and content architecture, new website, new print material, new trade show booths, and new internal style guides. Colleen guided us along the way and delivered exceptional designs that carried through all those different media. Finally, the style guide she shared with our team demonstrated a real thoughtfulness and brought everyone onto the same page so we could be more self-sufficient as we went forward.
